The game consists of 12 questions where the player will try to answer all the questions in order to reach heaven. For each question answered correctly, the player receives a gift of the spirit. If the player correctly answer all the question he or she receives all the gifts of the spirit and consequently reaches heaven. A millionaire in heaven. The games ends if any of the questions are answered incorrectly.
The game goes on as long as the player answers the questions correctly. The game ends if any of the questions are answered incorrectly.
There are easy questions and hard questions. The questions are selected randomly. The possibility of getting an easy question or hard question are the same at any stage of the game. The questions are of multiple choice where the player must select the correct answer from the available choices.
Each question must be answered by a determined time. As soon as the question is displayed, the player has 20 seconds to read it. After the 20 seconds, a timer will be displayed with an additional 40 seconds for the player to answer the question. After the 40 seconds are over, the player has an additional 10 seconds, which will not be displayed to answer the question. In another words the player will hava a total of 1 minute and 10 seconds to read the question, read the answers, answer the question, or select one of the life lines.
The player has 4 lifelines and they can be used at anytime. Once a lifeline is used, it will no longer be available. Each lifeline represents a type of help the player may use to answer the question.
The lifelines are:
1. 50:50 - The computer will get rid of 2 incorrect answers leaving the player with 1 correct and 1 incorrect answer. After this lifeline is selected the time will be reset and the player will have an additional 30 seconds to answer the question. Remember that once the timer reaches zero the player will have an additional 10 seconds to answer the question or select another lifeline if one still available.
2. Friend - The player may ask a friend to help him answer the question. The player may converse freely with a friend and both may try to answer the question. After this lifeline is selected the time will be reset and the player will have an additional 60 seconds to answer the question. Remember that once the timer reaches zero the player will have an additional 10 seconds to answer the question or select another lifeline if one still available.
3. Audience - The player may ask the audience to help him answer the question. The player asks the audience, for each available answer, if they think that the choice is correct. Then, the player must select a final answer. After this lifeline is selected the time will be reset and the player will have an additional 60 seconds to answer the question. Remember that once the timer reaches zero the player will have an additional 10 seconds to answer the question or select another lifeline if one still available.
4. Grace - By selecting this lifeline the player asks Jesus with for his grace to answer the question for him. In another words, it's a freebie. The correct answer will be displayed the the player may proceed to the next question.
After answering a question, the player may view more information about the correct answer, with the bible text or even an explanation.
We are adding new questions to the database constantly. "Who Wants to be a Millionaire in Heaven" gives you the capability to update the questions database. This is only possible if your computer is connected to the internet when you play the game.
The game can be installed in a laptop and used in the church. This is a great way of making youth programs more interesting.
Remember that you can update the questions database of the program, increasing the number of questions in the game, making the game more fun to play and more educational. If you like, you can also use your own questions database. You just need to create a file with the questions and answers and plug it into the game.
